Dear Resident
Here is some simple crime prevention advice to keep you and your home safe now that we are looking forward to some nicer weather.
Please remember that doors and windows need to be kept shut and locked whilst you are out and not left open for those opportunist burglars.
If you are at home and in the garden please ensure that your front door is locked and any windows closed. Over the years we have had incidents where people have just walked in the front door whilst the owners are in the back garden and visa versa.
If you have garden equipment this should be locked away in your shed or garage, not only could they be stolen if they are left unsecured, but tools such as spades can be used to gain further entry into your house.
Sheds should have a good quality lock on them or you could always think about getting a stand alone shed alarm or padlock alarm.
