Bottesford NHW Alert: Thefts of Scooters and Bicycle / Trick or Treat Posters

Thefts of Scooters and Bicycle

Last Monday, 1st October, a child's scooter was stolen from the bike park area outside Bottesford Pre-School.  The scooter is a blue micro-scooter, with union jack hubcaps. This follows reports of another scooter being stolen in similar circumstances and a bicycle being stolen from outside a residents home. Sadly there is clearly an increased risk of theft of unattended and/or unsecured scooters/bikes at the current time. Residents should be extra vigilent and take extra precautions. If anyone has any information about these thefts or has seen  a scooter or bicycle abondoned locally please let me know or contact the police on the non-emergency 101 number.

Trick or Treat Posters

With Halloween fast approaching Leicestershire Police is reinforcing the message of no tolerance towards anti-social behaviour (ASB) during the lead up to Halloween on October 31.

This year Leicestershire Police has produced a two sided poster which can be printed off from the attachment below.  Show the ORANGE side if you DON’T welcome ‘trick or treaters’ calling at your house or show the GREEN side if you WELCOME ‘trick and treaters’ calling. Posters are also available from front enquiry desks at your local police station.

If you have any information regarding anti-social behaviour in your area, contact your local policing unit on 101 or alternatively, call Crimestoppers free* and anonymously on 0800 555 111.

*Some mobile phone networks may charge for this call.
