Bottesford NHW Alert: Local Crime Update / Rogue Traders

 Local Crime Update

Three burglaries over the past few days in rural areas (Eaton, Harby and Waltham) and 3 thefts including manhole covers being lifted from near to Belvoir Fruit Farms.

There has also been another trailer theft from Redmile village, and a tractor has been taken from Croxton Lane, Knipton although this was later later recovered nearby.

Clearly we need to continue to be vigilant and extra careful with our security and valuables.

Rogue Traders

On Monday, 28 October 2013, two males knocked at the door of a female resident, on Hospital Lane, Boston claiming extensive roof repair work needed to be completed.  The householder agreed for the work to be carried out and has made payments .  The standard of work was very poor, causing £300 - £400 worth of damage to tiles on the roof.  Both men have left without completing the work and without repairing the damage caused.

1)  Male, white (but tanned skin), late 30's, 5'8" tall, brown slightly receding hair, round faced.  Gave his same as Steve, from Peterborough.  Wearing: brown jacket, black polo shirt with embroidered letters, possibly ASN.
2)  Male, white, approx 50 yrs old, 5'5" tall.  Walked with a slight stoop, legs bent.  Wearing: Black trousers, white/grey jacket and cap with black top underneath.

Both males arrived in a silver/grey coloured van.  On the rear off side black letters 'EXTERIORS', 'GUTTERS' 'FASCIAS'.  There was a 0800 telephone number marked on the van also a mobile number believed to start 0777.

Please report any sightings of these males and/or vehicle immediately to Lincolnshire Police Tel 999 (Emergency) or any other information Tel 101 (non emergency number).
