Late yesterday afternoon/early evening (1st Jan) a man was seen in Normanton in suspicious circumstances. He is about is 5'6"/5'7" tall, with a northern accent, dressed all in black (black trousers, black Puffa-type jacket and Beanie Hat), and was wearing white trainers which were totally unsuitable for the area he was in. His presence in the area may have been totally innocent and if anyone recognises the description please let NHW know so we can reassure residents. Alternatively he may have been involved in pre-crime activity. There have recently been 5 burglaries in Hose which appear to be opportunist in nature, so anyone hanging around the rear of houses without good cause could be seeking out vulnerable properties. Please be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police: Crime in progress 999, otherwise 101.
