Bottesford NHW Alert: Unauthorised Removal of Public Notices / More Burglaries

Unauthorised Removal of Public Notices

Many residents will be aware that a public meeting has been organised at 7pm on Friday 14th February at Bottesford Cricket Club to discuss the Parish Council precept. Notices are being posted around the village to inform people about the meeting but many of them are being removed shortly after being put up. NHW has been assured that posting these notices within a given timeframe of the meeting is legal and equally unauthorised removal of them is illegal. The police have been informed and are asking the public for information. If you see anyone removing such a notice please report it to the police promptly on the non-emergency 101 number quoting Incident No 282/10th Feb.

More Burglaries

Over the last 7 days there have been 5 burglaries reported in surrounding areas. It is particularly frustrating to hear that most of the properties targeted were insecure! Please take sensible precautions when leaving your home unattended: Lock all doors, close and, if possible, lock windows, leave a light and a radio/TV on after dark, etc. Once again, please don't ignore suspicious noises and activity - report it to the police promptly. Crime in progress 999, otherwise 101.
