Bottesford NHW Alert: More Thefts of Catalytic Converters : Burglary : Charity Collectors

More Thefts of Catalytic Converters

Catalytic Converters have been stolen from 4 vehicles in Croxton Kerrial overnight Tuesday 15th April into Wednesday 16th April.

Anyone with any information please pass this on to Police on 101 and be vigilant. Police patrols across the Vale are increased and operations are still running to combat cross border crime

Burglary

Burglary other than Dwelling on Devon Lane, Bottesford. A number of items were taken from a conservatory/out room. A fuel can, a Barracuda Men’s racing cycle and silver / yellow Orbea Men’s racing cycle were taken after thieves cut a lock on the main gate. Anyone with any information please pass this on to Police on 101

Please ensure all windows, doors and outbuildings are locked and secured at all times and any items of value are left out of sight of criminals.

Charity Collectors

Charity collectors for the Children’s Society were reported ignoring NO COLD CALLING zones in the village on Friday evening. When challenged they said they were licensed to collect. For information licenses for charity collectors DO NOT permit them to disregard NO COLD CALLING zones. The two most effective ways to discourage this are to inform them that the local beat team actively polices the NO COLD CALLING zones and they are being reported and/or to inform them that you will complain to the local authority (who issue the licences) and that this may well affect the charity’s application for future licences in this area.
