Solar Panel Installations
NHW is attempting to identify a company making cold calls to residents in the area attempting to sell solar panels. We do not have a name or a telephone number for the company but we are told that they are installing in this area today (Thurs). If you know of any such installations happening today could you please send us details of where the installation is taking place and if possible the name of the company involved. There is no suggestion that the company is operating improperly or illegally – we are simply trying to ascertain if the calls being made are legitimate.
Bogus Callers
Lincs police report a male calling at doors selling rugs and another pretending to be deaf selling paintings. Please be aware as they are targeting the elderly. There is also a report of a male pretending to be from Anglian water.
Make sure you check all ID and if any concerns ring the company. If you are suspicious of anyone ring the police on 101 unless you feel threatened in which case ring 999.
