Theft of a Dog

On Friday the 28th of March at 09:15 a white German shepherd was taken from the garden of a property on Fen Lane, Long Bennington. A silver transit van pulled up outside the property and a male bundled the dog into the van. If you have any information on this incident please contact Lincs force control room on 01 quoting incident number 112 28/03/14.

Distraction Burglary

A distraction burglary took place to the North of Melton last week when 2 duster sellers called at the house of an elderly man. They entered the property when the owner fetched his wallet to pay for goods he wished to purchase. One then created a distraction and the wallet was removed. DO NOT LET STRANGERS INTO YOUR HOME.

Vehicle Crime

Between Thursday last week and Monday there were a spate of thefts from vehicles in the Melton area. Items lost include photographic equipment worth £8500 and power tools. A timely reminder not to leave valuable items in unattended vehicles, especially overnight.
