The National Rural Crime Network is launching the biggest ever survey of rural policing and crime.

The results will aim to improve awareness of crime in rural areas, encourage crime prevention, inform government policy, help ensure funding is not disproportionate and help to ensure the right services and resources are available to rural communities.

People living or working in rural parts of the Melton borough are being urged to have their input into the largest ever survey launched. For people to give their views on policing in their rural community, the impact crime and anti-social behaviour has on them and their neighbours, and to ultimately help shape the future of crime prevention and rural policing.

The survey is supported by Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner Sir Clive Loader and the Home Office.

The survey will be open until June 24.
