Suspicious Caller

A suspicious caller was reported in Bottesford yesterday, offering tree cutting services to an elderly resident. The vehicle had no livery and the caller was interrupted by neighbours when he became "persistent." NHW advice is always to decline the services of cold callers. If you need such services employ a reputable trader.

 

Scam Phone Call

Reported –Friday 11th December to Harby NHW:

 

A Harby resident received a telephone call from a foreign sounding male with poor English purporting to be from Melton Borough Council. The caller knew their names, their length of residency at their property and some other personal details.

The resident checked with MBC and the call was not from them and are aware that these calls are being made.

The caller was calling from 0208 133 8327

 

Do not give out or verify any personal details to such callers.
