Local Businesses Broken Into
Over last week-end two businesses based in the Orston Lane area of the village were broken into. Substantial damage was caused gaining access suggesting  a fair amount of noise would have been created. If you saw or heard anything unusual in that area over the week-end please inform the police. Given the spate of break-ins and catalytic converter thefts it would be very helpful if anyone entering of leaving the village at night would be extra vigilant, especially if you pass by one of the industrial estates on the edge of the village. If you see anything suspicious please don't hesitate to report it to the police. Most local commercial premises are closed at night so almost any activity or noise should be regarded as suspicious. It remains a strong possibility that all this criminal activity is the work of one group and it is unlikely to cease until the perpetrators are caught. The police are still interested in  a blue Subaru seen in the area of several catalytic thefts.
More Break-Ins and Thefts in Surrounding Areas
More thefts of catalytic converters. This wave of thefts continues with 1 in Kinoulton, 2 in Keyworth and more reported in Upper Broughton
