Bottesford NHW Alert: Theft of Catalytic Converters - Update / Beat Surgeries - Contacting the Police

Theft of Catalytic Converters - Update

Message from the Police: Over the past 2 days there have been a number of Catalytic Converter thefts from under larger vehicles. Please can people with any vehicle that sits higher from the ground be aware of where they are parking and give thought to extra security for the catalytic converters. Anything that is seen as being suspicious, please contact the Police on 101 or if there is suspicion that an offence is being committed please don’t hesitate to call 999.

Farmwatch is reporting that a blue Subaru has been seen in the vicinity of several catalytic converter thefts. If you see such a vehicle in suspicious circumstances please contact the police immediately with location and, if possible, the vehicle registration.

Beat Surgeries - Contacting the Police

Following our recent alert informing residents that the next Police Beat Surgery is to be held at Zaro's (today at 4pm) a resident contacted us to make a very valid point that some people might be deterred from attending with their concerns due to the lack of privacy in such a public place. Please remember that anyone with such concerns can make an appointment to see a member of the local beat team at their home or at the police office by phoning 101.
