Burglary Harby

Leicestershire constabulary have informed NHW of a burglary in Main Street, Harby, which took place between 3 pm and 11 pm on Saturday 17th December 2011.
A window was  jemmied in several places. The window had window locks. Thieves stole Christmas gifts. Police have carried out house to house enquiries.

Please set alarms if fitted, whenever leaving your property. Set lights/radios on timers if going out, and do not leave gifts under the tree or anywhere in sight.

If you do not have a house alarm, a Window/Door Shock Alarm which can detect vibration during a forced entry may be useful. Suggestions of local suppliers: Argos (£15 for two), Sure 24 security suppliers – enquiries@surer24.net -  2 Moorbridge Court, Moorbridge Road, Bingham – 01949 836 991 or other security suppliers.
(NHW or the police do not endorse any particular product or supplier)

Please be extra vigilant at this time of year. Crime in progress dial 999. Suspicious incident dial 101
