As forecast we have had a lot of rain today with some localised flooding affecting a few properties in the village. Perhaps surprisingly there has been relative little rainfall in the upper reaches of the River Devon so the authorities are not expecting any river based flooding at this time. However, more rain is forecast for tomorrow and Sunday so it would be prudent to maintain vigilance and keep any flood defences in place over the next few days.
