The Met Office has issued a warning of very heavy rain with possible localised flooding across the whole of Leicestershire, starting overnight and going into tomorrow. Because the warning is so widespread, Local Authorities will monitor the situation to see how it develops before making any decisions about delivery of sandbags and other assistance. Those at risk need to be prepared and to watch out for any updates through the media. NHW and the Flood Warden will continue to issue updates and advice through the email alert system.
