Bottesford NHW Alert: Theft and Attempted Theft of Catalytic Converters / Suspicious Vehicle

Theft and Attempted Theft of Catalytic Converters

Please be aware that the theft of catalytic converters remains a high risk in this area. Last night one was stolen and an attempt was made to steal a second. In the second incident the thieves were also spotted trying to break into a locked garage. These incidents are happening in the early hours of the morning, between midnight and two am. It is possible that these thefts and other recent thefts from outbuildings are the work of one group of thieves, who may be cruising the area in the day selecting possible targets to attack during the night. It is likely that there will be no respite from this until the culprits are apprehended. Please don't ignore suspicious behaviour. Report it to the police promptly giving as much information as possible. If you believe a crime is in progress don't hesitate to dial 999, otherwise call 101.

Remember that crime will not thrive in a community that cares.
