Bottesford NHW Alert: Attempted Abduction of Dogs - Update and Second Incident

Last weeks incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at approx 3pm on the footpath between the village hall and Easthorpe Road. The males were described to be dark skinned, possible Asian.

There has been a second similar incident at 7pm this morning (Monday). This occurred on the field to the rear of Daybells Barns towards the Village Hall. Once again one male attempted to detain a dog walker whilst an accomplice tried to grab the dog. The description of the men is vague but accords with that given in connection with Thursday’s incident.

If anyone saw either incident or have seen men of this description acting suspiciously in the village please contact the police on 101 without delay. Sightings on Thursday or this morning will help the police map their route to and from the incident. These men are not likely to be resident in the village so they must have transport presumably not too far from the site of the incidents. Any sightings linking them to a vehicle or other transport will be particularly helpful.

It’s our village; our responsibility. Please don’t hesitate to share any information you have with the police without delay.
