The police have asked us to issue the following alert and request for help:
There have been several incidents in the Vale over the last few of days. In the early hours of Wed 24/7 (about 0130 hrs) in Redmile, an unknown male stole cash from an ‘honesty box’. Between Tue 23/7 and Wed 24/7 also in Redmile an outbuilding was entered and several items stolen. Between the same times on Clawson Lane in Hose, a couple of padlocks were broken to a stable and a quantity of goods were stolen.
On speaking to Notts police covering the neighbouring area such as Whatton and Bingham, they too are getting breaks of this nature predominantly overnight.
The police are asking residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious incidents. People should not be frightened to use the 9’s if they suspect a crime is being committed or about to be committed.
