Road Traffic Accident on Mon 10th Dec:

Police investigating the fatal RTA at the junction of the A52 and Belvoir Road are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Alison Briance from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, says: “We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw either of the vehicles being driven beforehand or the collision itself.”

“If you have any information about the incident and have not yet spoken to officers we would like to hear from you.

“Equally if you have Dashcam and captured what happened we urge you to make contact.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 4484 Alison Briance on 101, quoting incident number 552 of 10 December.



There has recently been a couple of ASB/criminal damage incidents in the village. One where a stone was thrown at a bus shattering the windscreen (Barkestone Lane) and one where a residents window was damaged by an airgun pellet (Belvoir Road). Police are aware of both incidents and if anyone has any information about either of them please contact the police on the non-emergency 101 number.


Theft From Outbuildings and Parked Vehicles


Residents are alerted to a continuing spate of thefts from outbuildings and parked cars in the surrounding areas. Please be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.
