Bottesford NHW Alert: Two More Burglaries / Suspicious Vehicle

Two More Burglaries

The police are reporting two more burglaries in the surrounding area:

The first at Branston Lane in Knipton between 1330 hours and 1430 hours on Tuesday 21st January.

The second on Goadby Road in Waltham on the Wolds where entry was gained by forcing a rear window.

Anyone who was in either of these areas and saw anything suspicious should contact the the police.

They are also seeking to encourage the public to report anything suspicious promptly using the 101 system or 999 dependent on the immediate threat.

Items of value should be stored away out of sight and doors and windows should be kept locked

The police are also requesting residents to contact police if they see duster sellers or ex-prisoners selling from a holdall in the area at any point. Reporting sightings promptly will allow the police to check the individuals out. Criminals have been known to use this as cover for identifying potential burglary targets.

Suspicious Vehicle

A mid-green metallic Peugeot 106 or Citroen Saxo, 5 door hatchback, was seen acting suspiciously on the unmade  track between end of Sewstern Lane and Sedgebrook Mill (behind Mill Farm). If seen acting suspiciously again please report to the police. The vehicle registration number might assist in tracking the owner.
